Important! TAP Affidavit Report is accessed from the https://metrics.tritondigital.com domain. Be sure to allow that domain if your web browser uses an ad blocker.
Important! Impression counts in Affidavits may be lower than what you see in TAP Explore Sell-thru Rate reports because the Affidavits report only shows impressions recorded against the selected stations for the the team associated with the campaign. For more information, see "Reporting and Content Access" in the TAP User Guide.
Affidavits are certified "proof of performance" reports that prove to the advertiser how many impressions were generated (or spots played). You can create an affidavit report for a specific campaign, advertiser, ad network, or station. You can also schedule affidavits to run automatically, and be sent to you on a schedule that you choose.
An affidavit report is not considered "final" until all campaigns in the report have been completed for at least one day.
You can run an affidavit report on the entire publisher, a specific advertiser, or a specific campaign. Affidavits include the report properties, and display detailed report information and in some cases summary report information. The report is displayed on the TAP Affidavit Reports page, and can be exported (downloaded) for further processing.
Properties include the report type, publisher name, advertiser, campaign name, and date range.
Detailed information provides a complete recap of the entire publisher, advertiser, or campaign, including detailed, line-by-line descriptions. Exact items displayed depend on the scope of the affidavit you create.
Summary information (Campaign affidavits only) includes the a quick overview of the report. Exact items displayed depend on the scope of the affidavit you create.
Creating an Affidavit
Creating an affidavit follows the same basic process as creating other reports in the Metrics interfaces.
To create an affidavit:
On the TAP Affidavits Reports page, select the report type:
Impressions - CPM: Creates an affidavit for impressions-based campaigns (CPM).
Spots - CPS: Creates an affidavit for spots-based campaigns (CPS).
Select the scope of the affidavit you want to create:
Publisher: Run an affidavit for all campaigns for an entire publisher. (If you only manage one publisher, it will be your only option.)
Advertiser: If you manage multiple publishers, you can only run an advertiser affidavit for one publisher at a time.
Campaign: Run an affidavit for a specific campaign.
If you selected Advertiser or Campaign as the Report Type, select a specific advertiser or campaign.
(Optional) Edit the date range. See Date Range Notes, below.
Run the report.
If "N/A" appears in the Station Display Name column it means the display name is not set up in your station configuration at Triton Digital. To create or modify your Station Display Name, contact Customer Support. Be sure to specify it is the Display name you wish to create or change.
Date Range Notes
Date Range presets are greyed-out if no data is available within the preset range.
When you select a campaign to run an affidavit against:
The campaign's date range is pulled in from TAP and is used as the default affidavit date range. You can use a custom range instead, if you wish.
When you use the default date range pulled in from TAP (i.e., the campaign's full date range), the range is extended by two days on either side of start/end date. This is done to account for timezone differences between when impressions are recorded and how they are read by the reporting engine.
For example, if a campaign begins on February 1 in timezone UTC-5, and your affidavit report starts on February 1 UTC, there is a five hour range where recorded impressions are seen by the reporting engine as happening before February 1.
The -2/+2 extension to the date range ensures all of the campaign’s impressions, on either side of the UTC date range window, are captured in the affidavit.
However, this -2/+2 extension is only applied when you use the default campaign date range pulled in from TAP; if you select a custom date range, it is not applied.
The -2/+2 date extension is not applied to saved queries that were saved prior to January 26, 2023.
Saving and Scheduling Affidavits
Once you have built your query you can save it for future reference. This makes it quick and easy to run the same type of query at a later time, or to schedule it to run automatically. Saved queries appear on the Saved Queries list. For more information, see Saving and Scheduling Queries.
Query ID and Metrics API
You can save and retrieve queries in Triton Webcast Explore, Podcast Explore, Lineup Explore, TAP Explore, and TAP Affidavit. Every saved query has a query ID that you can use to send the resulting data to your business intelligence (BI) applications via the Triton Metrics API.
Important! The Triton Metrics API can only access queries that were saved by the same user who created the queries. Be sure to log in with your Triton Metrics API access username before saving queries, and when you want to retrieve query IDs and use the API. For more information, see Using the Query ID and Metrics API.
