Reset 2FA for Omny Studio

If you've enabled 2FA for your Omny Studio account you can reset it. This is useful when you have a new mobile device or when you are switching authentication apps. After you reset your 2FA, Omny Studio will no longer accept 2FA codes from your previous authentication app.

You need your current authenticator app and your new authenticator app

You must already be logged in to Omny Studio with your current authenticator app before you can pair your account with a new authenticator app. If you can’t log in to Omny Studio, see Reset 2FA if You Cannot Log In.

  1. If you aren’t already, log in to Omny Studio with your current authenticator app.

  2. Go to Omny Studio Account Settings.

  3. In Security, select Reset.

  4. In Confirm reset, select Reset.

  5. In Verify your password, enter your Omny Studio password and select Verify password.

Omny Studio shows a new QR code.

  6. In your new authenticator app, select the option to add a new account.

  7. With your new authenticator app, scan the QR code. Or you can manually enter the code below the QR code in your new authenticator app.

Your new authenticator app generates a 6-digit code.

  8. In Omny Studio, fill in Enter your 2FA code with the 6-digit code from your new authenticator app.

  9. Select Enable two-factor authentication.

Reset 2FA if You Cannot Log In

Follow these steps if you are not able to log in to your Omny Studio account because you don't have access to your authentication app or you have lost the mobile device on which your authentication app is installed.

  1. Ask your Omny Studio administrator to follow these steps: Reset a User's Two-factor Authentication.

  2. If your Omny Studio administrator can’t help you, please contact Omny Studio support.
