Some definitions and key terms for Omny Studio users.
Clip
Audio and other information that you may publish for listeners to hear and see. A clip is a podcast episode, or it can be a short “best bits” of content or other produced piece of audio. It can include a title, description, and artwork.
You can share a clip with a selective audience by setting it as Private, Restricted, or Unlisted.

Network
A group of programs for organizing users, analytics, and settings.
Playlist
Specifies a list of clips in a program. For each playlist, Omny Studio generates an RSS feed for publishing to podcast apps and an embed widget for publishing on a website.
A program can have multiple playlists. This lets you create curated selections of content. Example: A “best of” playlist can complement a program’s regular playlist.
Program
Represents a podcast show or series. A program has recordings, clips, playlists, and other settings. A program can optionally be assigned to a network.
Organization
An Omny Studio account that's controlled by a user/account owner, An organization has one or more networks and programs.
Recording
Audio captured from a radio station’s mixing panel or live stream.
A recording usually needs editing before being published to listeners. For example, a long raw recording might need editing into clips for an episode and promotional pieces that are ready to publish.
You can convert a recording into a clip with the audio editor.

RSS Feed
A text file in RSS (Really Simple Syndication) format that contains details of a playlist. Podcast distributors, like iTunes, download your RSS feed to update their podcast listings. Every time you publish a new episode, Omny Studio updates your RSS feed.
