You can only create campaigns for teams that you belong to. (Exception: if you are an Organization Admin then you have access to all teams and you can create campaigns for any team.)

Quick look: How to create a campaign

Because of new TAP's flexible workflows, there are several ways to create a campaign. This Quick Look shows you one typical way to do it. Bear in mind that in new TAP, campaigns are containers for flights, and have no dates or monetary goals/values themselves.

To create a new campaign:

  1. On the Campaigns page, click +New campaign.

  2. On the New campaign page, enter the campaign details:

  3. Select the advertiser from the drop-down list (or click Create an advertiser to create a new one).

  4. Enter a campaign name.

  5. Select the team that will be associated with the campaign.

  6. (Optional) Enter Additional information, such as the account executive, trafficker, external ID, or notes.

  7. Click Create campaign. *

There are several ways to create a campaign, including directly from the Campaigns page (click the + New campaign button) or from within the New flight page, where you can create a new campaign to contain the new flight.

From the Create campaign page:

  1. Select the advertiser. (If the advertiser does not exist, you can select Create an advertiser and create the advertiser now.)

  2. Enter a campaign name.

  3. Select the team that the campaign will be associated with. See Team Notes below.

  4. (Optional) Expand the Optional informationsection to add extra information such as:

    • Account executive. Select the account executive for the campaign. Only people on the team associated with this campaign can be selected.

    • Trafficked by.  Select the trafficker for this campaign. Only people on the team associated with this campaign can be selected; any team member can be selected, not just those with the trafficker user role.

    • External ID. Add any external IDs that are associated with this campaign.

    • Notes. Enter any notes for your reference or for anyone else who has access to this campaign.

  5. Create the campaign. Depending on how you arrived at the New campaign page, you will have several options:

    • Create campaign. Creates the campaign and returns you to the previous page.

    • Create campaign and create flight. Creates the campaign and immediately takes you to the New flight page.

    • Create campaign and create another campaign. Creates the campaign and opens another New campaign page.

    • Create as draft. Select this to create the campaign as a draft. This is useful if your organization has an approval flow. The campaign will not run until you change its status to Approved.

  • You can only create campaigns for teams that you belong to. (Exception: if you are an Organization Admin then you have access to all teams and you can create campaigns for any team.)

  • If the team doesn't already exist when you are creating the campaign, you can select Create a team to the right of the Team field and create the team before returning to creating the campaign

  • You can change a campaign’s team assignment after creating the campaign. If a user is locked out of a campaign because they don't belong to the team it is assigned to, you can fix the problem by changing the campaign's team assignment, or you can assign that user to the team that the campaign is already assigned to.

Bulk Creating Campaigns

TAP lets you bulk-create up to ten copies of a campaign with a single operation, where the copies have the same campaign details and the campaign names are appended with a copy number.

The procedure starts with an "original" unsaved campaign, from which you can make up to ten numbered copies ("My Campaign (copy 1)," "My Campaign (copy2)," etc.).

To bulk-create a set of campaigns:

  1. On the Campaigns list page, click + New campaign.

  2. On the New campaign page, select the advertiser, enter a campaign name, and select the associated team.

  3. Select Create campaign > Create multiple campaigns.

  4. In the Bulk create campaigns window that appears, select the number of copies you wish to create. The number includes the current campaign you are creating, so if you want a total of four campaigns, select "4."

  5. Click Create campaigns.

  6. A status window appears showing you the new campaigns and indicating that they were successfully created. To go back to the form and create more campaigns, click Go back to form. Otherwise, click Go to campaigns.

You can also bulk create flights.
