You can create one or more schedules for your clip/episode transiting through different visibility states as required.
With Omny Studio, you can transition a clip through various visibility states in line with your audience and strategic requirements. The most common use cases for multiple schedules is to restrict content, making it visible to a VIP audience segment before releasing it to the general public. Additionally, scheduling content with a new publish date ensures it appears at the top of an episode list across platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify, effectively managing your program's playlist.
You can run a Scheduled Clips Report to get a consolidated view of clip visibility transitions on your organization, networks, and programs.
To add a scheduled change
To start, navigate to the Details page of your chosen clip and scroll down to the publishing expander. Click "Add scheduled change" to create a schedule.
Here, you can choose visibility, date, and time for the transition.
Updating the published date
About Publish dates:
Adjusting publish dates allows you to change the order in which episodes are displayed on apps like Spotify and Apple podcasts, ensuring that your audience receives the latest release in a timely and strategic manner. Important: the published date is simply a date label that is used to determine the placement of clips in your playlist; it does not affect the actual publication date of the clip.
To update the published date simultaneously, make sure the Update published date box is ticked.
Once you've selected your date and time, close the date picker, and your selection will be displayed.
To add multiple schedules, repeat the process.
To edit a schedule
If you’ve made a mistake or need to adjust dates, use the right-hand Options menu next to the schedule. Click Edit to reopen the date picker or “Delete” to remove the schedule.
Note that you can use multiple schedules via the Omny Studio API. For more technical details, please refer to the documentation.
