User Management

Only Broadcast Administrators and Broadcast Managers have access to Triton User Management.

This article and its related articles describe the various tools and mechanisms that affect user management in Triton Digital products, and provides insight into how to add or remove users, and how to modify their access privileges.

For security reasons, the responsibility for user management falls to Triton’s customers, not Triton itself. When an organization is first created by our team of Implementation Specialists, they create one or more "Broadcast Administrator" (or “Super Admin”) customer users. It then falls to those administrators on the customer side to create and manage users within their organization. However, some user interface permissions cannot (yet) be granted by our customers; to get access to these interfaces and products, help from the Triton Support Team is required.

Creating Users

User creation, editing, and deleting is described in Creating and Managing Users. This applies to users for:

  • Triton Console

  • Podcast Metrics

  • Webcast Metrics *

  • Triton Settings

  • TAP *

  • Manadge *

  • Royalty Reporter *

* Only the base level Triton user is created in the User Management application. The Triton user must already exist before a user is created in these specific applications.

Important! Content Access Control Permissions

The process of creating a user involves a step that is often overlooked: assigning permissions in Content Access Control. Simply creating a user will only allow them to log into the various Triton Digital products. The settings that determine which stations or content they are able to access is governed by the permissions set in Content Access Control. See the step for setting Content Access rule in user creation for more information on those permissions.

Triton Ad Platform (TAP)

TAP can be found here.

To be granted access to TAP, a Triton user must first be created in the Triton User Management application. However, it does not matter which user role you select in Triton User Management, as this is only done to link the TAP user to the Triton user system. The actual user role for TAP is selected within TAP, where you create the user (thereby linking it to the user management system) and then assign a TAP role.

Important: The critical link between the Triton user and the TAP user is the Triton user’s user name. The user name in both applications MUST be exactly the same.

Please see TAP Settings for specific instruction on TAP User Management, including how to create TAP users and the various TAP user roles they can be granted.

To request user access to TAP, please reach out a Broadcast Administrator or Broadcast Manager within your organization.

Webcast Metrics (WCM)

Webcast Metrics can be found here.

Access to Webcast Metrics (WCM) starts with the Triton user being created in the Triton User Management application by a Broadcast Administrator or Broadcast Manager (see above). Next, the Triton Support Team must link the user to the Webcast Metrics or Podcast Metrics applications.

Important: The critical link between the Triton user and the Webcast Metrcs user is the user’s user name in the User Management application. The user name in both applications MUST be exactly the same.

To request user access to Webcast Metrics, first make sure that a Triton user was created by a Broadcast Administrator or Broadcast Manager within your organization. Once this is done, please have that person contact the Triton Support Team and specify the exact user name, email address, and name of the user requiring access to Webcast Metrics.

Podcast Metrics (PCM)

Podcast Metrics can be found here.

If your contract includes Podcast Metrics (PCM), all users in your organization will have access to view PCM data in Podcast Metrics. However, please make sure that users have the proper permissions in Content Access Control to the podcasts they are allowed to see in PCM.

Yield-Op Supply Side Platform (SSP) and Yield-Op for Ad Networks (YOFAN)

Important: The Yield-Op SSP and YOFAN legacy interfaces are being migrated into the TAP Programmatic interface. Certain features have already been migrated to TAP Programmatic. See TAP Programmatic below for managing access to TAP Programmatic.

Yield-Op SSP and YOFAN (legacy) can be found here.

At this time it is not possible for our customers to manage access to Yield-Op by themselves. To be granted access to Yield-Op, a Triton user must first be created in the Triton User Management application by a Broadcast Administrator or Broadcast Manager within your organization (see above).

Next, the Triton Support Team must link the Triton user to the Yield-Op application.

Additional information on how to use Yield-Op can be found in the Yield-Op User Guide.

To request user access to Yield-Op SSP, first make sure that a Triton user was created by a Broadcast Administrator or Broadcast Manager within your organization. Once this is done, please have that person contact the Triton Support Team and specify the exact user name, email address, and name of the user requiring access to Yield-Op.

TAP Programmatic

TAP Programmatic can be found here.

Access to TAP Programmatic requires that a TAP user be created and for that user to be assigned a Programmatic role. See TAP User Management section for instructions on how to create the user and see the Programmatic Role sub-section for details on assigning the user a Programmatic role.

Additional information on how to use TAP Programmatic can be found in the TAP Programmatic section.

Manadge

Manadge can be found here.

Manadge is Triton’s advanced programmatic revenue analytics platform. Manadge uses Triton’s SSO platform for access. Therefore, publishers contracted for use of the Manadge platform simply have to create a user in TAP (with any role) and this user will automatically gain access to Manadge using the same credentials.

To request user access to Manadge, please reach out to a Broadcast Administrator or Broadcast Manager within your organization.

Additional information on how to use Manadge can be found in the Manadge for TAP (MFT) section.

Omny Studio

Only Studio can be found here.

Omny Studio is a Triton Digital company that specializes in podcast management. User management is currently independent of the Triton User Management application and is fully managed within the Omny Studio product.

Extensive user guides on user management for Omny Studio can be found here.

To request user access to Omny Studio or different programs within your Omny organization, please reach out to a user within your organization who has "Manage users and permissions" rights.

User Management Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset my password?

An administrator-level user in your organization can send you a password reset email or you can visit the password reset page.

I can log in but I can’t see any stations/content in the UI.

The person that created your user most likely forgot to grant you access to that content in Content Access Control. Please reach out to someone in your organization with Broadcaster Administrator or Broadcast Manager level for help.

I created a user but they never received an email with their credentials.

Welcome emails are not sent automatically when a user is created. The “send greeting email” button must be clicked in order for this to happen. Please see the User Guide for details.

I can access Manadge but I do not see a dashboard.
