Sounder Audio Insights is a platform that provides podcast creators with AI-powered analysis of their content. The information provided by Sounder can be used to make informed decisions about how to advertise and promote podcasts.
Audio Insights works on content in both English and Spanish. Capability for more languages is in the pipeline and they will be listed here as they become available. Note there are some limitations when processing Spanish, as described below.
Sounder Audio Insights Dashboard
The Sounder Audio Insights Dashboard was created in collaboration with publishers, technology companies, and agency partners. The goal was to provide a user-friendly platform where creators could access information about podcast brand suitability and contextual targeting. Sounder's technology leverages AI and ML models to surface nuanced data about podcasts.
How it Works
Sounder Audio Insights provides contextual insights by processing audio files. The dashboard allows users to create inventory segments based on filter criteria using Collections to create tags that can be shared with external advertising platforms. These tags can be pushed to the Triton Ad Platform (TAP) or Megaphone Ad Server, depending on your integration.

Overview Page
Provides a holistic view of your podcast catalog
The Overview page is a comprehensive dashboard designed to provide podcast publishers with insights into their content and brand suitability. It allows publishers to understand the overall composition of their podcast catalog.
Reveals top contextual categories
Users can see the most common IAB categories present in their content over different time frames (7, 30, 60, or 90 days). This information can highlight prevalent topics beyond those explicitly categorized, potentially revealing new advertising opportunities.
Identifies trending named entities
The Overview page displays the top people, places, organizations, and products mentioned within the past 90 days. This data offers valuable insight into current trends and can be leveraged to attract advertisers or create targeted content.
Tracks brand suitability
The page gives an overview of the content's suitability based on the GARM framework. Users can view the percentage of content classified as “high” or “floor" risk and compare it to previous periods. This feature enables proactive risk identification and facilitates transparent communication with advertisers about the catalog's suitability.
My Shows
Show-Level Data Navigation
The page offers a table format for easy navigation and analysis of show-level data. Users can quickly access information relevant to brand suitability, contextual categories, and named entities for each show.
Granular Episode Insights
Users can go beyond the show level by clicking into a specific show to view its individual episodes. This allows access to the scores and data associated with each episode, potentially including details from transcripts, GARM classifications, and more.
Actionable Insights for Advertising
By analyzing the provided data, users can make informed decisions about ad targeting, inventory segmentation, and campaign planning, ultimately leading to more effective advertising strategies.
My Episodes
Episode-Level Data Organization
The page provides a comprehensive list of all episodes associated with your podcasts, also presented in a table format for easy navigation. This creates a central location to manage and analyze data on an episode-by-episode basis.
Filtering and Sorting Functionality
Users can filter episodes by:
Brand suitability risk levels
Specific IAB categories of interest
The presence of particular named entities
Date ranges.
Other criteria relevant to the user's needs.
Episode Details
You can click into a specific episode and see:
Diarized transcript with speaker labels
Brand suitability scores and classifications (using GARM categories, as suggested in source).
Contextual categories assigned to the episode, based on IAB taxonomy ().
Named entities identified within the episode (people, organizations, places, etc.)
Other relevant metrics like episode duration, publish date, and potentially data derived from transcripts.

AI-Powered Promotion Hub
Sounder also offers an AI-powered Promotion Hub which can be accessed through the Sounder Audio Insights Dashboard, within My Episodes. This suite of tools can help simplify the process of promoting a podcast by generating social posts, creating show notes and episode summaries, and creating articles or blog posts based on the episodes.
My Collections (Tags)
Collection Creation
Use the "My Collections" page to build collections of content from your library using filters. This enables the grouping of episodes based on specific contextual and brand suitability criteria. These collections are dynamic, so when new episodes are ingested by Sounder, they are evaluated to see which (if any) collections they belong to.
Tags
These “Collections” in Sounder can be shared with Omny / TAP or Megaphone as “contextual tag” or “advertising tag,” respectively. Depending on your integration, you will be able to use these tags to target the collection of content you have created in Sounder.
From this page this page you can open a collection in the “My Episodes” page, so you can examine in more detail which episodes match associated criteria. You can also do the following:
Preview – to check which criteria are associated with a given tag
Edit description
Delete tag
Duplicate tag
Copy the unique “code” for each tag
Settings
The settings page allows you to view and manage other users in your organization – including sending invites to new users and removing users from your organization.
Languages
Sounder Audio Insights was original designed for use on content presented in the English language. Language capabilities are expanding, and it is now also available for Spanish language content. We are working on providing capability for additional languages.
Sounder Audio Insights is available for content published in English and Spanish languages. We are working on providing capability for additional languages.
Publishers with a mix of English and Spanish content will be able to target contextual tags in English, Spanish, or both languages, as a new dimension.
Transcript search functionality is available for both English and Spanish.
Language Limitations
Audio Insights works for Spanish-language content, using the same components as are available for English-language content, but with some limitations. Specifically, the system has been quality tested for Brand Suitability and Contextual Targeting in Spanish, but, Named Entities, AI Content Tools, Ad Markers and Chapters are not available; they are greyed-out in the Audio Insights Details page when Spanish is processed.
