Edit Clip Metadata

You can specify metadata for a clip, including its title, description, and artwork, in the clip’s Details. Useful, accurate metadata makes clips easier to find online and more engaging. Clip details are publicly accessible when the clip is published.

Details

Title

This should be a short and concise name for the clip. It will appear on the Omny website, in the players on other podcast platforms, and on your embed widget. If the clip is added to a playlist, it appears as the podcast episode title.

Description

An overview of the clip. This appears in full on the Omny website. It may be condensed in other players. Keep this to a short paragraph because any formatting may be lost depending on where the clip is played from.

Artwork

A picture for the clip. For details, see Omny Studio Supported Formats.

If you do not provide artwork for the clip, Omny uses the program’s artwork as the default image.

Add to Playlists (podcasts)

You can use this field to add the clip to one or more playlists.

AI Content Disclosure

Some podcast platforms and government regulators require you to disclose that you used AI to create your content. Also, by showing transparency about your use of AI, your audience and advertisers can trust your content and make informed decisions about it.

You can disclose that you used AI to produce a clip with AI content discloure. When checked, Omny makes the following changes:

  • Inserts <podcast:txt purpose="ai-content">true</podcast:txt> to the item in the RSS feed.

  • Inserts “This episode includes AI-generated content” to your clip’s description in the player.

  • Inserts “This show includes AI-generated content” is added to your program’s description in the player.

These changes conform to requirements from most podcast platforms and government regulators. For specific information and how it applies to your clip, see the following:

Content Rating

Used by iTunes and other podcast aggregators. If your clip contains explicit themes or coarse language, flag it here.

Summary

This is displayed by Apple Podcasts as the episode description, and also overrides web player descriptions on Facebook and X.

Tags

Keywords describing the contents of the clip, separated by commas.

Advanced Settings

By default, clips in your RSS feed link to their Omny.FM show page. Use this feature to set a custom link for the clip instead.
