Pre- or post-roll ads for new clips by default
You can add pre- and post-roll ad markers to all newly published clips by default at the Program, Network, or Organization level.
You can find the setting under Organization, Network, or Program settings under the monetization menu.
Marking pre-, mid-, or post-roll ads for individual clips
You can use keyboard shortcuts in the Marker expander. See Keyboard Shortcuts.
You can place ad markers for individual episodes in the Clip Details page, under the Markers section. Mid- and post-roll markers are described first. Then adding mid-roll markers is described as you can have multiple mid-roll markers if desired.
Adding pre- and post-roll markers for ad insertion
First, go to the clip you'd like to add an ad marker to and select Edit details:
Scroll down and expand the Markers section.
Then click the pre- or post-roll button to add a pre- or post-roll ad marker. Ads will be marked in pink, as seen below.
To place a pre-roll or post-roll at an arbitrary location, or to offset a marker, first place the playhead at the desired location, or enter the timestamp to move the playhead to an exact point. Then, click the arrow to place a pre- or post- marker (only one pre- or post- marker can be placed on a clip).
Adding mid-roll markers for ad insertion
You can use keyboard shortcuts in the Marker expander. See Keyboard Shortcuts.
To add a mid-roll marker for an ad to be inserted first click Edit details on the clip.
Then at an appropriate spot click "Mid-roll ad" and a marker will be dropped into the audio file. You can place multiple mid-roll markers. Once you're happy click Save changes:
