Chapter Support in Other Players
Chapter markers are supported by Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and some other third-party players.
Note that ad insertion might result in misaligned chapter markers from your audience’s point of view. After inserting ads into your media, the Omny Studio content delivery network (CDN) automatically adjusts your media’s ID3 metadata for chapter markers. However, the chapter markers in a podcast’s RSS feed can’t be adjusted because the RSS feed is published separately from the podcast’s media.
In the Spotify player, and other players that rely on the RSS feed for chapter markers, your audience will experience misaligned chapter markers.
In the Apple Podcasts player, and other players that rely on ID3 tags in the media file, your audience will see chapter markers that are properly aligned.
