Sellers.json

Most TAP Settings can only be created and modified by Organization Administrators.

sellers.json is an IAB Tech Lab specification that provides a mechanism to enable buyers to discover who the entities are that are either direct sellers of or intermediaries in the selling of digital advertising. (More info here.)

All Triton Digital TAP Programmatic clients are part of Triton's seller.JSON file, and in most cases the default configuration is correct. However, in some cases you might have to configure custom settings in this section. Typically, this is the case for TAP Programmatic clients who aggregate a number of publishers under their account ("Intermediate" sellers). In this case you will probably have discussed the correct sellers.JSON configuration for your case with your DSP or someone at Triton Digital.

To change the sellers.JSON / SupplyChain configuration:

  1. Go to the sellers.json section of TAP Settings, in the Programmatic section.

  2. Select the Seller Type:

    • Publisher: Select this if your inventory resides on a web site, app, or other medium, and the advertising system pays you directly.

    • Intermediary: Select this if the inventory is not owned by you and the advertising system does not pay you directly.

  3. If Intermediary is selected above, enter the supply chain objects:

    • asi: The domain name of your account.

    • sid: This is the seller ID, and it must be the same ID that appears in transactions (OpenRTB requests).

  4. Save the setting.

Values shown above are examples; please use your own unique ASI and SID values, if applicable.
