This section provides a high-level architectural overview to help you understand the various inputs and outputs involved in media streaming with Station Manager.

Media streaming via Station Manager requires the following:

A Media Feed

Typically, this is a direct feed from a radio station’s studio into the sound card of the computer running Station Manager. It can also be a digital signal into a virtual sound card.

Server and Media Gateway

These are part of the Triton Digital Streaming Network. They take the encoded stream from the Station Manager server and stream it to your listener’s media devices. Station Manager also enables and facilitates the infrastructure for inserting advertising with metadata into your media streams.
