Wheatstone Streamblade and Wheatstream streaming appliances and Layers cloud streaming software support the Triton Digital MRV2 (Media Relay version 2) protocol to provide seamless integration between the studio AoIP ( system and content delivery.
MRV2 is a proprietary streaming transport protocol that sits between the station’s master control room and the CDN (content delivery network). MRV2 is designed for accurate ad stitching and a high-quality listening experience.

All Wheatstone appliances and Layers support 44.1 KHz or 48KH bitrates.
Wheatstone appliances with firmware StreamBlade_app v1.0.2.090 and later support bit rates of 16 KHz, 22.05 KHz, and 32 KHz.
Adaptive bitrates are not supported.
Support for High Availability
Wheatstone encoders partially support High Availability for MRV2:
HA Level 1: Not yet supported.
HA Level 2: Supported in Wheatstone.
HA Level 3: Not yet supported.
Preferred: HA Level 2 with Wheatstone
Triton recommends this configuration: Single Stream, Sticky mode. This setup provides High Availability at the Wheatstream level while bypassing technical issues.
