As of September 2024, Station Manager 5 is available to users of Telos Z/IPStream R/20 appliances.
As of October 2024, Z/IPStream R/2 can be updated to use Station Manager 5; this involves a Telos software update that upgrades your R/2 to R/20.
Station Manager 5 is now available to run on your Telos Z/IPStream R/20 and R/2 appliance. New R/20 devices with Station Manager already have Station Manager 5 installed. Existing R/20 and R/2 devices can be upgraded to Station Manager 5 via Telos system software update to version R/20 2.2+.

Here’s what you can expect with Station Manager 5 on your Telos Z/IPStream:
High Level of Redundancy: All levels of redundancy are supported, including dual connections in High Availability Connection Mode, ensuring uninterrupted service. Note that HA Backup mode is not available for Telos appliances.
Enhanced Performance: Improved memory management for faster and more efficient operation.
Advanced Adaptive Encoding: Support for adaptive encoding settings at 48KHz with two new presets, delivering superior audio quality. (Specification.)
Redundant/High Availability Support: You can create a redundant/failsafe streaming setup by creating two identical hardware configurations on two separate computers, each with its own input feed, and streaming the output of both to the Triton Digital Network. For more information, see Redundant/High Availability Setups in the Station Manager 5 User Guide. Note that Backup Mode is not available on Telos appliances.
