Omny Studio & Sounder Integration

Omny Studio integrates with Sounder’s Audio Insights AI technology to enhance the Omny feature set. This integration sends your Omny clips to Audio Insights, which analyzes each audio file and returns a transcript along with the necessary data for Omny Studio to generate insights and provide advanced tools to Omny users.

The integration also unlocks contextual/brand suitability ad targeting in TAP. For details, see Contextual Targeting.

Key Features

IAB Brand Safety Scores

Audio Insights assigns an IAB brand safety score to each clip. IAB brand safety scores enable campaigns trafficked in TAP to align with an advertiser’s or brand’s needs. Brand safety scores are calculated based on the IAB brand safety framework. Omny and Sounder analyze your clips and assign these scores in the background.

Ad and Chapter Marker Suggestions (English only)

Audio Insights analyzes your audio to intelligently suggest the placement of ad and chapter markers at natural breaks or topic shifts, ensuring easy ad placement with minimal effort. Chapter Title suggestions are also provided. Omny Studio users are able to accept each suggested ad marker via the Ad and Chapter Marker expander.

Transcription

Audio Insights generates a transcript, complete with speaker labels, for each clip. Omny Studio users can then edit and share the transcript following these steps.

Set up Sounder

Step 1: Reach out to your Triton Digital Representative

• Reach out to your Triton Digital Representative to establish a contract with Triton Digital for the Sounder Audio Insights product.

Step 2: Select Specific Networks or Programs for Sounder

When Sounder is enabled for your Omny Studio organization, it is available to all programs in your organization. Omny organization administrators have the option to restrict the Sounder functionality from access to specific networks or programs.

Sounder per-minute usage charges apply to all enabled (unrestricted) programs.

Restrict Sounder Access

The Sounder Restrictions options provide two ways to restrict access: network restrictions or program restrictions. The two modals function independently. If you apply restrictions to networks, the restrictions you apply are not reflected in the programs modal.

Triton Digital strongly recommends you apply restrictions in one modal or the other, but not both.

• To apply network-wide restrictions, use the Networks settings.

• To apply restrictions to specific stations in a network, ignore the network modal and apply the restrictions in the Programs settings.

To apply restrictions:

1. Under Organization Settings, go to the Feature Restrictions tab, where you will find the Sounder restrictions options.

2. Select an item, depending on if you wish to restrict networks or programs:
   

3. In the modal that appears, select the networks or programs that you wish to enable for Sounder. All un-selected networks or programs will be restricted from access to Sounder.
   

4. Click Save changes. The selected items appear on the Organization Settings > Content page. The items that appear are the ones that are enabled for Sounder, the restricted items do not appear here.

Editing Selected Access

When you have items selected for access to Sounder, you can edit your selections. Items that are not in this list do not have access to Sounder Audio Insights features.

1. In the Sounder restrictions section, click Edit where selective access is set up.

2. In the modal that appears, modify your selection.

3. Click Save changes.

Step 3: Set Sounder Publishing Options

Sounder publishing options appear in the Content sections at the Organization, Network, and Program levels.

These settings give Omny users the option to publish clips without a brand safety score, bypassing the processing time that is required by Sounder to receive, digest, score and send back the brand safety scores for each Clip. This option is useful when you need to publish immediately and don’t want to wait for the Audio Insights processing to take place.

Publishing Options for Organizations

Go to Organization Settings > Content > Sounder publishing options.

Select Allow publishing of clips before Sounder finalizes processing if you want individual programs to have the option to publish before the Sounder Audio Insights processing takes place. This is useful if you want the flexibility to allow some shows, such as time-sensitive news or sport shows, to publish clips without the delay. The Audio Insights processing will still take place on those Clips, but after the Clip is published. This is useful for when timing is important and you don’t want anything to keep you from being first to market, but at the risk of fewer high value impressions.

Enforce setting across this organization

The Sounder publishing options follow Omny’s Settings Inheritance rules.

• Check Enforce settings across this organization to enforce the publishing options at lower levels.

• Uncheck Enforce settings across this organization if you want to customize the publishing options at the lower levels.

Publishing Options – Program

At the program level, the Sounder publishing options can be inherited from the parent (network or organization), or customized for this specific program.

• Select Inherit from parent settings to use the same settings at the program level as is used at the parent level.

• Select Customize settings for this program to have the option of using a different setting than is used at the parent level. This item cannot be selected if the parent settings are enforced at the parent level.
