Windows Operating System Lifecycle and Triton Digital Support

Prev Next

Some Triton Digital products, such as Station Manager, are software products that run on customer-provided computer hardware running the Microsoft Windows® operating system. As Windows evolves and Microsoft ends support for older versions, Triton Digital follows a similar support lifecycle, ending support for our systems running on older version of Windows once Microsoft ends support for those versions.

Once support for an operating system ends, all support for Triton Digital products on that operating system ends until the host machine is replaced or upgraded with a supported operating system.

This lifecycle policy applies specifically to Station Manager, but also to any component of any Triton Digital product that must be installed and run on the customer's host computer running Microsoft Windows.

Although Triton Digital recognizes it can be a challenge for our customers to update older equipment, the cost and complexity of maintaining security and service around an obsolete operating system puts a disproportional burden on our resources, which is neither useful nor fair to our customers who expect the best security and service for their up-to-date systems.

Note that Station Manager and other components will continue to run on the customer's computers beyond the phase-out dates. However, Triton Digital will provide NO SUPPORT for such installations. That means no software updates, and no assistance if you encounter problems.

Windows 10

Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. Triton Digital will also end support for Windows 10 on this date. Triton Digital server-based software follows Microsoft's lifecycle for Windows 10. Triton does not extend any support on server software beyond the Microsoft Extended Support end date.

Windows Server

Triton Digital server-based software follows Microsoft's lifecycle for Windows Server. Triton does not extend any support on server software beyond the Microsoft Extended Support end date.
