For a podcast with many episodes, you can improve your audience’s experience when browsing a list your podcast episodes with pagination. Omny uses a default of 100 episodes per page to reduce download bandwidth usage.
Some podcasts have less than ten episodes, some have thousands, but as an average, the number of episodes in a podcast are only going one direction. Up. To make your RSS feed smaller, podcast directory updates faster, and in general try to manage this constant growth, RSS feeds have the ability to create multiple pages. This is called pagination.
What is Pagination?
Pagination, also known as paging, is the process of dividing an RSS feed into a sequence of separate, linked feeds. Instead of downloading a large RSS feed, apps and directories only need to download the specific group of episodes they need.
Change a Playlist’s Pagination
If your program is currently paginated, setting pagination to 0 makes all episodes available on one page. This may trigger mass download behavior in your audience’s podcast app, as those episodes will appear as "new".
