Once your transcript has been generated, you can edit it with the built-in editor. You can correct words and speaker names. After you’ve edited it, you can export it.
Edit a Transcript
First, find the clip you'd like to edit the transcript for.
Select the Transcript tab.
You'll see your transcript in the middle of the page, the speakers tags on the left, and settings to help you edit.
Highlight low confidence words: Words that the transcription service has recognized with low confidence are highlighted in yellow to make them easy to identify, check, and if needed, correct.
Seek and play on word click: Enable to start playback from any word that you select. This makes it easy to check specific words, or quickly navigate through the transcript.
You can delete and add text just like any word processor to make changes to the transcript.
Editing Speaker Names
The transcription service automatically identifies different speakers, making it easier to edit your transcript. It’s also useful when exporting this transcript to use as video captions or for other applications.
The human transcription service is most likely to identify speakers correctly. For example, if one of the speakers is called by a nickname, it will be more likely to be correctly labeled.
You can change a speaker name by clicking the drop down arrow on the right of the speaker name and using the editing icon.
You can change that speaker name everywhere it appears by selecting Edit, entering the new name and selecting Save Changes. You'll now see the new speaker name applied throughout the transcript.
Export a Transcript
To use a transcript for another reason, you can export it by clicking Options, then Export transcript.
If you'd like to use the transcript as captions for a video for social media, see Creating a Social Video.
Select the format you'd like to export your transcript in.
Delete a Transcript
You will be charged for a transcription even if you delete it.
Select Options then Delete transcript.
Select OK to confirm or Cancel to keep the transcript.
