You can understand how your podcast programs perform relative to the overall market with Podcast Metrics > Industry > Download Benchmark.

With Download Benchmark you can answer questions like these:
Is 50,000 monthly downloads strong for my type of show?
How does my podcast’s launch compare to others in my market?
Are my podcasts improving relative to the industry over time?
Understand Download Benchmark Ranking
Each row in the Report section in Download Benchmark gives a ranking of the average number of monthly downloads for each episode in your program. It compares this to the average episode downloads of other programs in the overall market, as measured by Triton Digital. For details, see Metrics.
The lower the percentage, the better the rank. This ranking does not describe the volume of downloads, it is an indication of your program's position among all other programs ordered by number of downloads.
Examples:
A ranking of 1% means that your podcast is among the 1% of podcasts that were most downloaded. In other words, your podcast was downloaded more often than 99% of all other podcasts.
50% means that, compared to your podcast, 50% of the other podcasts were downloaded more often and 50% were downloaded less.
Minimum Ranking Data
To give a useful ranking, Download Benchmark needs data from a minimum of 100 programs in the same Country, Date range, and Compared Against Category. If there isn’t enough data, Report does not show your program. If there is not enough data for any of your programs, Report shows a message: “No data could be found for the selected dates and filters”. Try adjusting Filters to include All Countries or choose All Categories.

Compared Against Category
Choose All Categories or a specific category to compare your content to the overall market.
The default is to compare each of your programs to their own category.
Choose All Categories to show your program’s ranking for all podcasts in the market, not just the podcasts in same category as your program.
If you choose a single category, Report shows only your programs in that category. Example: In Content Filter, you specify a Publisher that produces podcasts in Sports, News, and Business. Then in Compare Against Category, you choose Sports. The results in Report shows only the publisher’s podcasts that are in the Sports category, other podcasts from the publisher are not compared.
