Bulk Add Users

Most TAP Settings can only be created and modified by Organization Administrators.

Important!

Users should already exist as a Triton User in the Triton User Management application before you create or use them in TAP. It is possible to add the user in TAP first and then add them in User Management, but TAP will show an error message ("Bad request: username not found") until the Triton User is created. As a best-practice, we suggest creating the Triton User first, which will then be verified by TAP when creating the TAP user.

User management functions are now performed in the Triton User Management application

You can "bulk add" users from a CSV file by pasting the comma-separated values into the Bulk add users screen.

To bulk-add users:

  1. Copy the contents of the CSV file to your computer's clipboard.

  2. On the TAP Settings > Organization > Users screen, select Bulk add new users (CSV) from the + New user menu.

  3. In the Bulk add users screen, paste the CSV values from the clipboard into the text area.

  4. Check the list for invalid entries and fix any errors.

  5. Click Create users.

  6. Confirm the new users in the screen that appears and click Done.

CSV Formatting Notes

  • If the CSV file contains column headers, select The CSV has a header row, ignore the first row.

  • You can assign a user to multiple teams by separating the teams with "/". E.g.:
    Beyonce McGuffin, Trafficker Team/Best Team Ever, Trafficker

  • The "Default" team is treated like any other team; you need to spell it out in order to assign a user to that team (they are not assigned to "Default" automatically).

  • Spaces between comma-separated entries are optional. E.g.,  Beyonce McGuffin, Default, Trafficker is the same as Beyonce McGuffin,Default,Trafficker

  • Teams named in the CSV file must already exist in your organization.

  • The roles and team names must be spelled correctly, including spaces, although entries are not case sensitive.
