# YouTube API

As a Broadcast Administrator, you can integrate viewing analytics from a YouTube account into Podcast Metrics (PCM) reports with **Settings > Measurement > YouTube API**.

You can add your own YouTube account or a multi-channel network (MCN). To add a third-party’s YouTube account, see [YouTube API (3rd-party)](/user/docs/youtube-api-3rd-party).

## YouTube Integration Account Status

Each integrated YouTube account appears in the **YouTube Integrations** page with a status:

- **Linked**: The account is linked to Triton Metrics. Triton Podcast Metrics can retrieve analytics information from YouTube. If there is a connection or link error, the status is still linked but a warning icon appears.
- **Not Linked**: The account is recognized but the API is not linked to the account. Triton cannot retrieve analytics reports from YouTube.
- **Revoked**: You have revoked the account so that Triton no longer retrieves analytics reports from YouTube.
- **Pending:** For third-party YouTube accounts only. Triton cannot retrieve analytics reports until the YouTube account owner completes their part of the API integration.
- **Canceled:** For third-party YouTube accounts only. Triton cannot retrieve analytics reports from YouTube because the YouTube account owner has rejected the request for API integration or you have canceled the request from the **Options**menu.

## YouTube Multi-Channel Networks

A YouTube multi-channel network (MCN) provides monetization, sales, and other services to YouTube creators. For more information, see [Multi-Channel Network (MCN) overview for YouTube Creators](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2737059).

## Integrate Your YouTube Account or MCN Channel

You can integrate your YouTube account or a channel in your multi-channel network (MCN).

To integrate your YouTube account, you need credentials. If you are an MCN, you will also need the Content Owner ID of the channel in your MCN. For details, see [Google Cloud help](https://docs.cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/youtube-content-owner-transfer#set_up_a_youtube_content_owner_transfer).

To link someone else’s YouTube account, see [YouTube API (3rd-party)](/user/docs/youtube-api-3rd-party).
