# Why can't I share my clip?

> Check here if your sharing features aren't appearing for a Clip.

If you want to share a Clip on social media but you can't access the sharing options, check the publishing settings for the Clip.

Only Public or Unlisted Clips can be shared. If a Clip is set to Private, you will still see some sharing options, allowing you to post before publishing.

> If there is no slug set on the Clip, the Web Player URL will be empty until set.

If you have [Sounder](/user/docs/omny-sounder-integration) functionality enabled, the Share on social options will be visible to you. Clicking them will allow you to [generate AI posts](/user/docs/using-ai-content-tools-powered-by-sounder-promotion-hub), ahead of publishing when you will be able to share.

Restricted Clips cannot be shared and you will see the below screen.
