These tests are easy to perform but you should be methodical in their execution. The idea is to perform these actions in a repeatable, systematic way and to check your logs to ensure they match the actions you performed.
Preparation:
Gather the materials you will need for your testing, including:
- A mobile device running the Android operating system and another one running iOS; each loaded with the appropriate player apps.
- An up-to-date Windows computer equipped with up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, IE11, and Edge web browsers.
- An up-to-date Apple (macOS) computer equipped with up-to-date Safari, Chrome, and Firefox web browsers.
- A list of the stations you wish to test (with their URLs handy for quick loading into the web browsers).
- A log book or note-taking app for recording your test details, such as:
- Device, browser/app, and device IP address.
- Exact time of each test session.

Play-Stop Test
- Play audio for two minutes, then press Stop (or Pause if there is no Stop).
- Wait three minutes.
- Close the browser or app.
The logs for this test should show one session of two minutes.
Pause Test
- Play audio for two minutes, then press Pause.
- Wait one minute (paused).
- Play again for three minutes, then press Stop (or Pause).
- Close the browser or app.
The logs for this test should show two sessions: one two-minute session and one three-minute session.
Analyze
Request your logs from Triton Digital or your third-party content delivery network (CDN). Analyze the log results against your logbook of test sessions and make a note of any issues or discrepancies.
