# Transfer Ownership in Apple Podcasts Connect

If you need to transfer the management of a podcast from one Podcast Connect account to another, you can use either of the options described below.

## Option One: Apple Claim Token

Apple provide a simple way to transfer ownership of your show, outlined [here](https://podcasters.apple.com/support/5497-claim-your-show).

1. Follow the steps [outlined by Apple](https://podcasters.apple.com/support/5497-claim-your-show) to claim an existing show via your Apple Podcast Connect account.
2. Once you have generated a token in Apple Podcast Connect, log into Omny Studio **within seven days**, before the token expires.
3. Head to the **Advanced settings** expander on your **Playlist Details** page.
4. Add the token in the **Apple Claim Token**field.
5. The token will be added to your RSS feed, and within 24 hours Apple Podcasts will verify and transfer the show to your account.

## Option Two: Use a transfer code

1. Contact Apple Support [here](https://itunespartner.apple.com/contact/?content_type=podcasts) (alternatively you can email [PodcastSupport@apple.com](mailto:PodcastSupport@apple.com))
2. Apple Podcast Support will then send through a six-digit code with a message like this: "To transfer management of a podcast in Podcasts Connect, please complete the following step: Insert the six-digit authorization code “123456” in one of your podcast’s tags: <itunes:keywords>, or copyright.”
3. We recommend using the copyright tag, which you can access from the **Advanced Settings** section of your **Program Settings**.

4. Once you have made and saved the change, let Apple know and they will take care of the rest.
