You must have Third Party Premium Content contracted with Triton and a Spotify Open Access (SOA) agreement directly with Spotify in order to use this feature.
Once contracted with your Triton Digital account representative and activated via the Triton Digital support team (which does require a configuration change by the Omny backend team), the following steps will assist you to link your programs Playlist to Spotify and to use Omny Studio’s premium publishing features to segment your audience and release episodes to a member base, then the public in a strategic manner, or to provide members with exclusive content.
To link your Playlist to Spotify Open Access:
Select the Program that you would like to link to Spotify.
Use the navigation menu on the left to navigate to your selected Playlist.
Head to the Settings tab of the Playlist and scroll down to the “Spotify Open Access” section.
Enter your Spotify-provided Partner ID and Entitlement.
Select Save changes to apply. Once you save the changes, your RSS feed URL appears in the Spotify Open Access RSS feed URL field. Click Copy URL to copy the URL to your computer’s clipboard.
Once you have the Spotify Open Access RSS feed URL, you must submit it to Spotify in the Spotify Creator portal. If you need assistance with this, contact Spotify customer support.
Once setup, any Clip/Episode published with the Restricted visibility will automatically be sent to the Spotify Premium feed.
Important Notes:
We support a single entitlement configuration that applies uniformly to all restricted episodes within a program. It is not possible to vary entitlements by episode or to have multiple entitlements.
Integrating with Spotify Open Access is subject to applicable terms and conditions and you must have an agreement in place with Spotify to enable this feature.
Once you have completed the partner ID and entitlements for a program and saved these values, they will no longer be editable. After saving, we will provide you with a feed URL, which you will need to submit/update manually on the Spotify Podcasters portal.
