Migrate a single podcast or your whole network to Omny Studio quickly and simply
Please note: whenever you are redirecting/importing an RSS feed, your historical analytics will not be available in the new program. Please download your historical analytics to CSV to maintain an archive.
When migrating shows to Omny Studio, you will need to import your existing feeds and later instruct your previous host to redirect listeners to your new RSS feed.
With Omny Studio's bulk importer, we can automatically re-sync multiple feeds until you're ready to apply your redirects. This means that you'll have time to invite and train staff in between these two steps.
Supported file formats include MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV and uncompressed AIFF. The maximum file size per file is 1000MB.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE AN AD SYSTEM CONNECTED TO YOUR CURRENT HOST THEN PLEASE ENSURE THAT IT'S TURNED OFF BEFORE RUNNING YOUR IMPORT, OR IMPORT THE AD-FREE VERSION OF THE RSS FEED IF YOU HAVE ONE. If using a Megaphone ad-free RSS feed, please append
?show_original=trueto the RSS URL to ensure that eachguidmatches those in the public feed. It is very important that you do this to prevent ads from being burnt into your episodes during the import.
Check with your origin host that the RSS feed you are importing into Omny include all the episodes you want to migrate, as some hosts limit the number of episodes which appear in the RSS feed.
Once you're logged in, head to your Organisation settings and use the navigation menu on the left to find the imports section.
Paste your RSS feeds into the batch importer text box separated by a line.
Select from the following options (note: you will need to unfurl the Advanced import settings).
Select a publishing visibility.
Automatic syncing will be activated by default - by having this active, Omny Studio will automatically import any new episodes every 1-2 hours to ensure that the feeds are in sync before the re-direct is applied. Please note that only new episodes will be imported, not any changes to podcast metadata (such as the title, description or artwork). To then disable automatic syncing, click "Options" and then "Disable automatic syncing".
Assign a network in Omny Studio to your batch import to save manually doing this for each program later.
Limit the amount of episodes you would like to import per RSS feed. For any imports above 20000 episodes, please contact Omny Studio support at support@omnystudio.com

You will also receive an email for each feed confirming once the import is complete.
The final step in the migration is applying a re-direct from the old feed to the new Omny Studio feed. To find your new Omny Studio feed, you can export a .csv report from the "Export CSV" button with the following fields for each import.
ProgramId, ProgramName, ProgramNetwork, AutoSync (Y/N), Status, Max Items, Published After, Completed At Utc, Source Rss Url, Destination Rss Url

Please note: it's also possible to run a manual re-sync of all your feeds by clicking the re-sync all button or individually via the Options drop down beside each feed.
