The following minimum service and technical requirements apply to the Triton Digital ROYALTY REPORTER service.

Radio Automation Software (RAS) Metadata

Client shall provide electronically to Service Provider the Radio Automation System Metadata synchronized to the audio content. The Radio Automation System Metadata must at all times:

  • provide information about currently playing content;
  • be sufficiently descriptive of each individual item playing out;
  • be sent synchronously with audio content being played out;
  • contain information relative to every Service provided to client:
    • Streaming and delivery services require at a minimum:
      1. artist name; and
      2. title of musical content.
    • Royalty reporter services require at minimum:
      1. title of the track, as listed on the commercially released recording;
      2. name of the featured artist, as listed on the commercially released recording;
      3. International Standard Recording Code (“ISRC”), or (if the ISRC is unavailable) the combination of both:
        1. the album name, and
        2. marketing label
    • Advertising revenue services and Tap services require at a minimum:
      1. individual commercial breaks.

Radio Automation System Metadata” (also known as “PAD data”, “program associated data”, “RAS data”, “now playing data”, “break data” or “cue points”) means a collection of information sent by various playout systems that allow Service Provider’s systems to perform and deliver certain functionalities such as: displaying information about the currently playing content, detecting ad breaks, aligning data to audio and other data driven activities such as populating the Royalty Reporting data.

Sound Recording Data

Client shall provide the following Sound Recording Data to Service Provider through its Music Scheduling Program for every sound recordings used in a transmission.

  • Name of Service
  • Transmission Category
  • Featured Artist
  • Sound Recording Title
  • ISRC • Album Title
  • Marketing Label
  • Channel or Program Name

Service Provider’s ability to produce information for the Reports of Use is limited by Client’s proper encoding of the Sound Recording Data into its Music Scheduling Program and Service Provider’s access to the Music Scheduling Program and/or the Sound Recording Data.
