RAS Adapter stores its configuration locally in XML files in the ..\Server\Data\Config\Local\ folder. There are two files:
RasAdapter.xml: working configuration containing chains and their settings.
RasAdapterTemplates.xml: contains all templates.
The format of both files is exactly the same. Therefore, the import features of the Template Editor can import chains as templates. Moreover, the same editor is used for modifying chains and templates.
The template is the partially or completely filled chain configuration, which you can use as a base when creating new chain. Currently, RAS Adapter has templates with all common parsers configured; their names correspond to the formats. Each template also has three mapping processors (for ad, for song, and for general parameters like mount name). It also contains a time span processor, because usually we have to convert time coming from RAS to the millisecond format used by cue points. You can create your own templates with any information you want to reuse.
