# Change the Order of Clips in a Playlist

You can change the order of clips in a playlist. Playlist ordering is only effective for [Omny.fm](http://Omny.fm) playlist page and playlist embeds. Most podcast apps will only display episodes by published date descending order.

The sort order is visible in the playlist in Omny Studio. **Private** clips are sorted by their scheduled published date, if applicable. Republishing a clip does not automatically update its published date.
