# Playlist sorting

> The manual sorting option in the old Omny Studio interface has been discontinued due to its limited effectiveness, as most apps use **publish dates** for ordering. If you need more information, please [contact Customer support](/user/docs/contact-omny-support).

> [!NOTE]
> Playlist ordering is only effective for Omny.fm playlist page and playlist embeds.
> 
> Most podcast apps will only display episodes by published date descending order.

**To sort playlists:**

1. Navigate to the desired program. 2. Select the appropriate playlist. 3. Click **Change order** under **Sort order**.

The sort order is visible within the playlist in Omny Studio. Private clips are sorted by their scheduled published date, if applicable.
