You can build a streaming player for your audio stream and associated advertising using the Triton Digital Player Widgets. Each widget is essentially a few lines of code that you customize and then paste into your web site to create an in-page player, player with ads, and a song history viewer. Use them alone or in combination.
The player widgets can be used as an adjunct to the Triton V4 Player (in which you put widgets on your own site while also running the hosted V4 player), or you can use them on their own, without the V4 Player and with no need to use the V4 Player Web Admin site.
Setup Details
To use the Triton Digital Player Widgets, your station needs to stream with Triton Digital. You’ll need your station or mount ID, which is part of your existing streaming configuration (it's usually your station's call sign, such as "KBLRK" or "KBLRKMP3"). If you don’t know your station or mount ID, contact your Triton Digital solutions specialist.
To set up your Player Widgets:
Decide which widget(s) you would like to embed within your station website: the Live Audio Widget, the Ad Widget, and/or the Song History Widget. If embedding the Live Audio Widget, decide on what type of player you want ("mini," "bar," "classic," or "vertical").
With your web developer, consult the Developer Documentation and plan the insertion of the widget(s) within your current page templates.
Note: If you want to offer continuous, persistent streaming to your users as they navigate through your website, we recommend using the Bar Live Audio Widget placed at the top or bottom of every page of your website. In order for it to be persistent, the widget must be integrated within an AJAX development framework that allows the content within your pages to load dynamically. Embed your widget(s) into your website, giving each a unique element ID and configuring it according to the information in the developer documentation. Don't forget to include your station or mount ID. Paste the provided JavaScript snippet in <BODY> of each page where the widget will be embedded.
Test it. (If you are already using a Triton Media Player, it can run concurrently with a widget player.)
Publish it.
If you want your Player Widgets to function on all platforms (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, etc.), you will need to stream from an MP3 mount. If you currently only stream in AAC format, discuss switching to MP3 with your Triton Digital Solutions Specialist.
