# Copying Campaigns

You can create a new campaign from an existing campaign. You can optionally include copies of the existing campaign’s flights and their creatives. You can copy any campaign except those that are archived.

1. Do one of the following:

The **New campaign**page appears with “(Copy)” added to **Campaign name**.
  - Go to **Ads > Campaigns**, find the campaign to copy, ten select from its options menu.
  - Go to **Ads > Campaigns**, open a campaign, then select **Copy campaign**or one of its drop-down choices.
2. Optional: In **Campaign name**, give the new campaign a unique name.
3. Edit the rest of the [new campaign](/user/docs/creating-campaigns).
4. Select **Create campaign**.
5. To deliver the new flights, change their [status](/user/docs/status) to **Active**.
6. Optional: Rename the flights for clearer searching and reporting.

## What is Copied

You have these choices when copying a campaign:

- **Copy campaign only**: Copies only the campaign. The new campaign’s name ends with “(Copy”).
- **Copy with flights as draft**: The same as **Copy campaign only** and copies the existing campaign’s flights. The new flights have status **Draft** and their names end with “(Copy)”.
- **Copy with flights as draft and creatives:**The same as **Copy with flights as draft** and copies the flights’ creatives. TAP copies the new creatives from live creatives. If a flight only has an unpublished creative, then TAP copies it instead.

## Tips for Copying Campaigns

After copying a campaign, change its name. Campaign names must be unique, so making more than one copy of a campaign will fail. For example, if you copy a campaign named "My Campaign," TAP names the new campaign "My Campaign (Copy)". If you want to copy “My Campaign” again, the copy will fail because there is already a campaign named "My Campaign (Copy)", even if you have archived this copy.

It is not necessary to rename new flights in copied campaigns because flight names only need to be unique within each campaign. However, for clearer searching and reporting, it is recommended to use unique flight names across all campaigns.
