# Convert a Playlist Into a Program

You can convert a playlist into a separate program. The new program is in the same organization. Most commonly, this needs to be done when an organization has been set-up incorrectly with one program and a playlist for every show at a radio station.

If you have an ad system active, please ensure that it's turned off before running your import - or import the [ad-free version of the RSS feed](/user/docs/ad-free-rss-feed).

## Before You Begin

- Spotify differs from most podcast apps and won’t download episodes from your new RSS feed until the original episodes are unavailable. Therefore, you will continue to see downloads in your old account until you delete the original episodes. Please wait at least a week after setting up the redirect before deleting your old program/account to ensure all subscribers on other apps are successfully migrated.
- Whenever you are redirecting/importing an RSS feed, your historical analytics will not be available in the new program. Please download your historical analytics to CSV to maintain an archive.
- If you have an [RSS pagesize limit](/user/docs/download-your-analytics-from-omny-studio) in place but your podcast feed has a greater number of episodes, please reach out to [Support](mailto:support@omnystudio.com).

5. If you use Triton Digital's Podcast Metrics (PCM) platform, link your shows to Podcast Metrics/Ranker. See page 2 of the [migration guide](https://www.dropbox.com/s/ynaed2t8tomvuoa/Triton%20Omny%20Migration%20Guide%202022.pdf?dl=0) (PDF).
6. If you have any embed players published from the original program/playlist then update them with the newly created embed URLs.
7. Head to the newly created program and copy the newly created RSS feed under the playlist details.
8. Re-direct the original playlist to the newly created playlist in the new program. You can do this by pasting the newly created RSS feed into **Moving podcast away from Omny Studio**.
