# Configure Transcription

You can transcribe clips and recordings in your organization, network, or program.

> Mis-configuring this feature could cause an unwanted spike in your bill. Please proceed with caution.****Automatic transcription only applies to newly published clips and does not apply to imported clips. ## Enable and Disable Automatic Transcription

Before using automatic transcription, you need to activate it. For details, see [Activate Transcription](/user/docs/transcription-pricing).

Navigate to **Organization settings > Automatic transcription**.

To enable, **Enable automatic transcription for your organization**.

To disable, select **Options > Disable automatic transcriptions for your organization**.

## Automatic Transcription Settings

### Enforce Setting Across This Organization

Disable customization of settings at the network or program levels. Users attempting to modify automatic transcript settings will receive a warning.

### Automatically Transcribe Clips

Enable automatic transcription for the selected clip visibilities.

#### Publish Transcript Automatically After Generation

Publish the transcripts to your omny.fm pages and consumer API. You will have the option to use the Omny Studio transcript embed player.

#### Transcribe Clips Matching Visibility (Unlisted, Private , Restricted, or Public)

Only clips that match the selected visibilities will be transcribed.

### Automatically Transcribe All Recordings

If you use Omny Studio's [recording agent functionality](/user/docs/setting-up-live-recordings-for-your-radio-station) for your radio station, you can optionally transcribe all recordings as soon as the break is finished. Please note that if a recording is turned into a clip, the transcript will not come across and the resulting clip will need to be published separately.

### Audio Language

Choose from the supported languages offered by your transcription provider to generate all transcripts in your selected language.

### Email Notification

Optionally be notified of every transcription once it's finished to an email address of your choice.
