# Authorized Digital Sellers (ads.txt)

**This section only applies if you are selling inventory on the Triton Digital Ad Exchange using TAP Programmatic.**

To help prevent fraud or misuse of your inventory, you must declare that Triton Digital is authorized to sell your inventory. Do this by listing Triton Digital in an authorized advertising system record in an `ads.txt` file at the root domain of your content URL. The content URL is configured at the placement level in the Triton Console.

This practice conforms to the [IAB ads.txt framework](https://iabtechlab.com/ads-txt/) for authorizing digital sellers, which provides a mechanism to enable content owners to declare who is authorized to sell their inventory.

For mobile apps, the similar `app-ads.txt` framework is used. In this case, the URL of the app store is used to locate the app developer website where the `app-ads.txt` file is hosted. Since this is based on the app used to access the content (and not the content itself), we can’t use the URL configured in the placement and we need to rely on receiving the app store URL using the**store-url** parameter.

An authorized advertising system record for Triton Digital looks like this:

`tritondigital.com, <PubID>, DIRECT, 19b4454d0b87b58b`

where `<PubID>` is the publisher ID assigned to you by Triton Digital.

For more information, see [Ads.txt/app-ads.txt in TAP Programmatic](/user/docs/tap-programmatic-adstxt).
