The Triton Ad Platform supports two main types of companion banners:

Players are strongly encouraged to implement VAST 2.0 support for their companion banners, as it provides more flexibility, and is standard-compliant. The legacy support might also be required in some contexts, depending on your station's configuration. Depending on the stream format, and the type of cue points embedded in the stream, different levels of support for companion banners are available:
