Chapter markers give your listeners a better experience by letting them jump to specific moments in an episode. You can also add artwork to a chapter.

The Omny Studio embed player displays chapters and allows your listeners to easily navigate to different sections of your clip.

Manually Add Chapter Markers
In your program’s Clips, find the clip that you would like to add chapter markers to.
In the clip’s options menu, select Edit details.
Scroll down to the Markers section and select Expand.
To see the where cut points are, toggle Cut items.
Drag the playhead to the point where you would like to insert a chapter marker.
Click Chapter then in Add Chapter, enter a Chapter title.
Optional: Enter Chapter tags.
Optional: Add an image to Chapter artwork. See Artwork.
Select Add chapter to save your changes.
Repeat from step 5 until you've added all required chapter markers.
In Clip Details, select Save changes.
Chapter Tags
When creating or editing a chapter marker, you can add chapter tags. Chapter marker tags are retrievable via the Omny Studio consumer API and you can read and write chapter marker tags via the management API.
Use AI-Generated Chapter and Ad Marker Suggestions

Ad and Chapter marker suggestions are currently available for English only.
Omny Studio has integrated Sounder AI technology tools into our user interface. Sounder uses your clip’s transcription to suggested the best placement for ad markers and/or chapter markers. Follow the steps below to use Sounder AI to quickly place your markers. You will receive one set of suggestions per clip.
1. Once your Organization has enabled Sounder you can navigate to your chosen clip details page and scroll down to the “Markers” expander. Expand this section using the “Expand” button at the top right. Locate the suggestions toggle switch and toggle it on.
2. Once toggled on, you will see AI suggested markers overlaid on your waveform and detailed in the list below. Ad markers can be found on the left hand side and Chapters on the right.
Sounder AI will generate Chapter Title suggestions based on topics being spoken about, instead of generic titling seen above. You can use these Chapter Title suggestions to understand content at each timestamp, allowing you to add an ad marker tag for hyper-targeting advertising to content along with a Contextual Tag
Use the + Add all button to automatically apply all markers in the corresponding list, or use the
+
button to add an individual suggestion. You can also drag and drop the individual markers within the waveform to adjust their placement as you would manually. Clicking the+
button for a Chapter marker will open the chapter modal where you can edit the title or save the suggested title.
4. Once you have applied your desired suggestions, toggle suggestions off and your selection will be placed in your waveform. Confirmed markers will now appear in the colour of their category; Ad markers (pink), Chapter Markers (Navy blue). They will also be listed in the table below.5. Use the

Options menu on the right hand side to edit or delete markers. Toggle on the suggestions to revisit remaining un-applied suggestions and follow the steps outlined above to add additional markers.

The Sounder AI suggestion tool does not abide by any ad marker rules set by your organization.
The Sounder AI suggestion tool will abide by settings applied by your organization that configure the default number of ads per marker.
